Askio Nature Natural Lorikeet Nectar Feed has been developed with the distinctive dietary requirements of nectar-feeding parrots in mind. Unlike many other pet parrots, lorikeets and lories naturally consume nectar, pollen and soft plant materials. Their specialised tongues and feeding behaviour make liquid and soft diets particularly important. This formula provides a practical alternative to preparing homemade nectar mixtures, offering a consistent nutritional composition with every correctly measured serving. With 12% crude protein and 5.4% crude fat, it contributes valuable nutrients for normal body maintenance and everyday energy requirements.

The carefully selected composition provide a combination of carbohydrates, fats and protein, while the added vitamin and mineral blend contributes to balanced daily nutrition. Vitamin A supports normal vision and epithelial health, vitamin D3 helps regulate calcium metabolism, and vitamin E contributes antioxidant activity. B vitamins play important roles in normal energy metabolism, while calcium and trace minerals support essential bodily functions. The inclusion of inulin adds a source of soluble dietary fibre to the formulation.

One of the main advantages of Askio Nature Natural Lorikeet Nectar Feed is its simple preparation and smooth feeding consistency. When mixed thoroughly with fresh water, the powder forms a liquid feed suitable for nectar-feeding birds. The carbohydrate-rich formulation provides an accessible source of dietary energy, while the soft texture allows lorikeets to feed in a manner that suits their natural behaviour. The mixture can be offered in a suitable feeding dish, making it easy for owners to monitor consumption and maintain a regular feeding routine.

Supplied as a dry powdered feed, this product offers practical advantages for storage and portion control. Rather than preparing large quantities of liquid nectar in advance, owners can measure the amount needed for each feeding session. This helps maintain freshness and limits waste, particularly in warmer conditions when prepared nectar can deteriorate quickly. Askio Nature Natural Lorikeet Nectar Feed is available in convenient 500g, 1kg and 5kg sizes, making it suitable for individual pet birds, multi-bird households and larger collections. The dry formula should be kept in its original, properly sealed packaging or a suitable airtight container between uses.

Preparing Askio Nature Natural Lorikeet Nectar Feed is straightforward. Mix one part powder with two parts fresh water, using approximately 50g of powder per 100ml of water, and stir thoroughly until a smooth, even liquid mixture forms. The manufacturer's recommended daily feeding quantity for smaller lorikeets, such as Rainbow Lorikeets, is approximately 10-20g of dry powder per bird, while larger lories, such as Chattering Lories, may require approximately 20-40g. These amounts correspond to approximately 30-60ml and 60-120ml of prepared feed respectively. Actual requirements will vary according to species, body weight, age, activity and individual needs. This product is intended for birds feeding independently, and is not a substitute for specialist hand-rearing formula for unweaned chicks.

Good hygiene is especially important when feeding liquid nectar diets. Always prepare the mixture with clean utensils and fresh water, offer it in thoroughly washed feeding dishes and discard any leftovers daily. In warm conditions, replace prepared nectar more frequently to prevent spoilage. Store the unused powder in a cool, dark and dry location, away from direct sunlight, heat and moisture. Fresh drinking water should always be available separately, even when birds receive a liquid diet. Fresh fruit and appropriate enrichment foods may also be offered occasionally as part of a suitable feeding routine.

Give your nectar-feeding companion a convenient and carefully formulated daily diet with Askio Nature Natural Lorikeet Nectar Feed for Birds. Combining essential nutrients, easy preparation and a consistency suited to lorikeets and lories, this complete food makes everyday feeding simpler while supporting long-term nutritional well-being. Choose from 500g, 1kg or 5kg packs and provide your colourful companion with dependable nourishment every day.
