Feeding your Macaw chick with Askio Nature NestCare is simple. The formula is easy to mix with warm water to create a smooth, lump-free texture that is safe for syringe or spoon feeding. It is important to ensure that the formula is heated to the right temperature (between 38°C and 41°C) to prevent crop burns, which can harm your bird.

Feeding Instructions:

• Mix the required amount of formula with warm water (approx. 45°C) until smooth and lump-free.
• Use a sterilised syringe or spoon for feeding.
• Ensure the formula temperature is between 38°C and 41°C before feeding to avoid crop burns.
• General Mixing Ratio: 1 part powder : 2–2.5 parts water (by volume). Younger chicks require thinner formulas, while the consistency can be thickened as they grow.

Feeding Guide – Example Schedule:

• 1–2 weeks old: 6–7 feeds/day, ~10–15 ml per feed
• 2–3 weeks old: 5 feeds/day, ~15–25 ml per feed
• 4–5 weeks old: 3–4 feeds/day, ~25–35 ml per feed
• 6+ weeks old: 2–3 feeds/day, ~30–40 ml per feed
• Start weaning at 10–12 weeks, introducing soft pellets and fresh foods

Storage Instructions:

• Store in a cool, dry place, away from sunlight and moisture.
• Reseal the bag tightly after opening.
• Use within 6–8 weeks after opening for optimal freshness.
• Shelf life: 12 months from production date.
