The mix contains high-quality ingredients such as grey millet and sweet corn, ensuring your bird receives the best possible nutrition.

You Will Need:

  • 1 bag Harrison's Bird Bread Mix
  • 2 whole organic eggs (no shell)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 Tbs AVIX Sunshine Factor or vegetable oil


  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C).
  • Pour the contents of the bag into a medium mixing bowl.
  • Add the 2 eggs (remove yolk for less fat), 1 tablespoon (15 ml) of high-quality organic vegetable oil, and 1 cup (235 ml) water.
  • Mix thoroughly and pour into a greased bread pan or muffin tin.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes.
  • Do not bake in nonstick (PTFE-coated) cookware, as the fumes are toxic to birds.

Serving Suggestions

  • It may make up to 30% of the daily diet.
  • If prepared with the addition of fruits, vegetables or nuts, Bird Bread should be considered a ''treat'' and fed only in limited quantities (no more than 10% of the daily food allotment when combined with all other treats).
  • It can be served warm.
  • Some flavourings (vanilla, maple) or herbs can be added as long as they do not change the nutritional content.

Storage Information

Because Bird Bread Mix contains no preservatives, some care is recommended for storage.

  • If the bag is opened, the top can be zipped closed or rolled down and closed with a chip clip for 4-6 weeks.
  • Bird Bread can be stored for 1 week in the refrigerator and 6 weeks in the freezer after baking.
  • Baked Bird Bread can be divided into portions, wrapped in plastic wrap, and placed back in the original Harrison's Bird Foods bag for storage in the freezer.
  • Bird Bread should not be reheated in a plastic container.

  • Next Working Day (Mon - Fri) - Parcel are delivered with 24 hours. However, due to increased demand some courier services may take slightly longer than usual.
  • Express Delivery Service (Mon - Fri) - Parcels are delivered within 2 - 3 Business days, after dispatch.
  • Standard Delivery (Mon - Sat) - Parcels are delivered within 3 - 5 days, after dispatch.


  • Orders for NEXT WORKING DAY Delivery must be placed before 3pm. This is not a guaranteed service, however 99% of the parcels are delivered on time.
  • Standard Delivery can take up to 10 working days at present due to high volume of parcels. If your delivery is urgent choose the Next Working Day, Delivery Service.


Place your order online before 3pm Monday to Friday. Choose the Free Next Day delivery option and we will deliver your parcel by Parcel Force the next working day (Mon – Fri only)

The next day delivery for orders under £69 costs just £6.99. It is available for in stock orders and to most UK mainland addresses (excluding some large items).


Our Standard Delivery service usually takes 3 - 5 working days and your parcel will be delivery by Royal Mail or Parcel Force


Large cages and some stands are available for delivery to UK Mainland only and may take and extra few days or be subject to surcharge in some areas.
